First United Insurance is an independent insurance agency with offices in Park River, Grafton, Adams and Hoople, ND. The agency goes back to the 1960's when it was affiliated with First Bank System. In 1987 it was purchased from First Bank System by a group of local investors.

First United Insurance is a multi-line agency that offers auto, home, business, farm, life, health, long term care and crop insurance. We also represent a variety of companies so we can shop the markets for you. Some of the companies that we represent in the property and casualty business are: United Fire and Casualty, Grinnell Mutual, Center, Continental Western, Federated, Dairyland, Dundee Mutual, Allied, North Star, Progressive and Walsh County Mutual to name just a few.

We have contracts with the crop insurance companies Heartland and RCIS.

We also have more than 20 life insurance companies and represent many of the best long term care companies in the United States.
