USDA March 1 Cattle on Feed Report

Cattle and calves on feed for the slaughter market in the United States for feedlots with capacity of 1,000 or more head totaled 11.5 million head on March 1, 2026. The inventory was slightly below March 1, 2025, USDA NASS reported on Friday.

DTN Retail Fertilizer Trends

Prices for six of the eight major fertilizers were higher for the third week of March 2026 compared to a month ago. Four fertilizers were significantly more expensive, which DTN designates as anything 5% or more. One fertilizer was slightly lower, and one was unchanged from the previous month.
