USDA Weekly Crop Progress Report

Corn was rated 73% in good-to-excellent condition, and soybeans were rated 66% in good-to-excellent condition as of Sunday, June 29. Winter wheat harvest reached 37% complete.

Border to Reopen to Mexican Cattle

USDA on Monday announced a phased reopening of Mexican border ports for livestock starting July 7, following successful New World Screwworm control efforts. After dispersing over 100 million sterile flies weekly since the May closure, officials will implement a risk-based approach with increased surveillance as Mexico begins renovating its sterile fly facility.

DTN Retail Fertilizer Trends

Average retail prices for five of the eight major fertilizers were higher compared to last month. For the third week in a row, no fertilizer was priced considerably higher or lower. DTN designates a significant move as anything 5% or more.
