USDA Weekly Crop Progress Report

Corn was rated 61% in good-to-excellent condition, and soybeans were rated 63% in good-to-excellent condition as of Sunday, Aug. 2. Winter wheat harvest reached 86% complete.

Rollins Presses to Reform NASS Surveys

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins spoke at Farmfest in Minnesota on Tuesday, announcing some changes to crop insurance, including a two-month delay for paying premiums this year. She also talked about modernizing USDA data collection and crop surveys. Rollins said USDA would hold several forums this month about the issue.

Beef Labeling Advances in Senate
